Teresa Sá nasceu em 1975 em Santo Tirso.

Estudou Literaturas Modernas na Faculdade de Letras do Porto e em 2000 uma bolsa de estudo levou-a à República Checa, onde deu aulas de português e estudou fotografia e cinema. Integrou a Associação Artística 'Sentidos Grátis', para a qual comissariou e produziu o projecto 'Seis Propostas para Seis Filmezinhos', assim como algumas mostras de cinema checo.

Colaborou em diversas publicações, com destaques para as revistas Magazine Artes, 365 e Attitude (Portugal), Diario di Bordo e Rear View Mirror (Itália), Elle, Le Figaro, Le Point, Le Nouvel Observateur e Images (França)... Esporadicamente, tem feito trabalhos para a Editora Presença.

Expôs individualmente em Lisboa e no Porto e colectivamente em Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Milão, Amesterdão, Zurique e Kaunas, entre outros. Foi distinguida com uma Menção Especial no concurso Novo Talento Fnac (2006), pelo Instituto de Artes e Ideias, pelo festival Festivideo e pela plataforma Gommamag (Reino Unido).

É membro da agência de fotografia francesa Koboy e está representada na Yellowkorner (Paris) e na Randall Scott Gallery (New York).

Vive em Londres.

Teresa Sa was born in 1975, in Portugal.

She studied Modern Languages and Literature in the Faculty of Arts of Porto. In 2000, a scholarship allowed her to spend a period of time in the Czech Republic, where she taught Portuguese language classes, studied photography and attended a course on Czech film. Member of the Portuguese Artistic Association Sentidos Gratis, member of the organizing commission and director of a project entitled Seis Propostas para Seis Filmezinhos (Six suggestions for six short films), she was also responsible for several shows of Czech films.

Collaborated with several magazines such as 365 (PT), Magazine Artes (PT), Attitude (PT), Rear View Mirror (IT), Diario di Bordo (IT), Elle (FR), Images (FR), Le Figaro (FR), Le Point (FR), Le Nouvel Observateur (FR) among others, and regularly with the publisher Editorial Presenca. Participated in several individual and collective exhibitions in Porto, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Turin, Rome, Barcelona, Milan and Lituania. Member of the jury of FICA, Internacional Film Festival in Brasil.

Member of Photographic French agency Koboy. One of the artists represented by Yellowkorner, France and Randall Scott Gallery (New York).

Based in London.
