Marc Wattrelot nasceu em França em 1979 e vive em Nova Deli, Índia. O seu trabalho incide principalmente sobre a região sul da Ásia: Paquistão, Índia, Afeganistão e China.

Estudou Geografia, Ciências Políticas e Jornalismo na Sorbonne e em Toulouse (1999-2005).

Foi galardoado com o prémio Paris-Match para jovens repórteres, em 2004, e desde então tem desenvolvido projectos como freelancer, sendo requisitado com regularidade pela AFP (France-Press), Sipa Press, WpN (World Picture Network ), Paris-Match, ChinePlus, Match du Monde, Figaro Magazine, Libération e Marie-Claire. Está entre os premiados no Anthropographia Award 2009.

Marc is currently living in New Delhi, India. He is working in the South Asia Region.

Marc has had exhibitions: honorary mention at the 2009 Anthropographia Award, shortlisted at the Lagardere Young Photjournalism Award (2009), shortlisted at Festival du Scoop d'Angers/Young Reporter (2009), Gijon International Festival of Photojournalim/Spain (2009), Revelation Festival in Paris/France (2009), Centro de Fotographia of Santa Cruz/Spain (2009), Sorbonne University in Paris/France (2006), Musée des Beaux-Arts de Chartres (2005), Winner of the Paris Match Young PhotoReporter Award (2004)...
